This privacy policy governs the use and disclosure of information collected by Backup247 Pty Ltd ACN 129 964 209.

Backup account information

Backup247 collects and maintains the backup account username and a files and folder (structure view only) and usage reports only. Backup247 does not hold or store the encryption key and it is not ever transferred to the backup247 network. The encryption key is required to restore data and because Backup247 Staff (including the top system administrator) are unable to access this encryption key they are unable restore a client’s data.

All data is transmitted and stored in a compressed and encrypted format and only the encryption key can be used to decrypt the data during restoration process.

Company details

Backup247 understands and the respects the need to protect your company’s data and privacy is critical in terms of securing your backups, with this in mind Backup247 will not disclose the company name or contact details of any of its clients.

All Backup247 customers’ business names, trading names, office locations and contact details will only be available to Backup247 staff and authorized contractors.

Registration information

Backup247 collects and maintains the following personal information about its customers:

• Customer Name/Contact
• Company Name (If applicable)
• Postal Address / Physical Address (If applicable)
• Telephone Number(s)
• Email Address
• Credit Card or Bank Account details (If applicable)
• Company ABN (If applicable)

The above information will be collected with your knowledge and participation. If you choose not to provide this information, Backup247 may decline to accept your registration for use of the Backup247 products. It will not be possible for you to deal with Backup247 anonymously.

Purposes for which information is collected

Backup247 will always endeavour to keep your personal information as secure as reasonably possible. Without limitation, customer information is not accessible over the Internet.

Backup247 will not collect information revealing your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, or details of health, disability or sexual activity or orientation, unless compelled to do so by law.

· To authorised officers of Backup247 for the ability to provide the products and services of to you

· Mailing addresses may be disclosed to postal or courier/freight companies for purpose of physical transportation or mailing of equipment, (no financial information will be disclosed).

· Administering credit collection purposes.

Unless required by law Backup247 will never willingly disclose individually identifiable data about our customers to any third party without first receiving that customer's permission.

Demographic information (such as postcodes) may be disclosed for research so long as the information is unable to identify you or any other individual.
